Sneak Eats [3/21/13]
1 - I've been crushing some homemade nut butter lately. Ever since last month when I tried making it for the first time, I've been addicted. AS IN I've been making some just about every weekend. My favorite nut combination to-date is honey roasted almonds, peanuts, and sunflower seeds. I'll leave my ode to this nut butter for its own post...
2 - Over the last two weeks, I've made 3--maybe 4--batches of cookies. It's funny because I've never thought of myself as a "cookie person". Apparently, now I am . There are just way too many things you can put in cookie dough! (Oh, you already knew that?) Pictured: double chocolate cookies with creme de menthe drizzle that I made for my office in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. I may not always blog holiday treats on time, but you better believe I bake for them!
3 - My morning steel-cut oatmeal with almond milk, ground flaxseed, cinnamon, and banana. Things are just better Mason jars. They say: I'm homemade! and exude a warm, southern summer feeling. This feeling is much needed after spring's first s-n-o-w this morning. It's not that I'm a snow-hater...
